Intensive Treatment Residence (ITR)
McIntosh Trail's Intensive Treatment Residence (ITR) is an intensive residential program that offers comprehensive rehabilitation services for adults 18 or older experiencing severe and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI) and addictive disease disorders. The ITR provides daily individual support to adults whose levels of functioning has resulted in frequent and extended hospitalizations, incarcerations due to their illness, and whose symptoms and behaviors indicate a need for continuous monitoring and supervision by 24/7 awake staff to ensure safety. Additionally, a highly supportive living environment is provided by staff to divert adults from going to a more intensive level of care and is offered to adults who may have failed in using less intensive residential supports.
